This company relocated my family and I from Texas to Florida and did a fine job. The driver and his crew did a good job being carefull with my belongings. Everything was protected and nothing damaged. Price remained the same the whole way through. Thanks.

I received a quote from this company. After I received the quote I looked online and saw these last 2 posts. So I call my salesperson back and ask him if they were a broker or not. What was explained to me was they have multiple head quarters and if they did not pick me up direct then one of their carriers would. However, when I looked online I saw that they have a main headquarters in Fort Lauderdale and North Carolina. I am in neither of those states. Now, the price that was given to me was better than all the other prices. So what could I do? I crossed my fingers and booked the job since they were flat out priced better. I am in one of those "hard to reach places" north dakota. So when the truck arrived it did not say American Van Lines on it. But I wasn't really worried because the guys knew what they were doing. So I asked the driver, what is the deal with American. He said he works with them all the time and they have their own trucks but don't service hard to reach areas, he said if I would of called their company direct the price would of been higher since the company gives American very high discounts based on how much business is given to them. All in all the move was fine and I paid less then the other quotes. You know what, they brokered the job on this one, but my sales person arranged the whole thing and I didn't a have to worry about it! I would use them again, they were honest from the beginning!

Thank you for your posting of "Broker or Mover" so many people get conned by these out of the area brokers; then if there's a problem you are stuck trying to get results over the phone. I can't agree more and thanks to people like you that take the time to minimize other people's loss.

Research your moving company as they may be moving brokers. I wish them luck as many movers in this area go out of business quickly because they are not rated with the Better Business Bureau. Everyone should check out all movers with the Better Business Bureau. Its the only way to be safe and not get ripped off!! Again, i dont know if these guys are BROKERS or MOVERS???? A moving broker takes your business and sells it to another business and takes a fee. A moving company performs the actual move... REMEMBER, check the BBB and search on the internet at many different websites that protect consumers against fraud and rip off companies. www.movingscam.com, www.movingcompanyripoffs, www.ripoff.com, www.safer.org! GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A SAFE MOVE!
